CurrentTemp Push Service Status

Push has been restored for MOST users in the US. I say most because some users didn’t update to 5.0.1 to fix the coordinates. Once the app is back live in the App Store, then update will be necessary to get pushes. The temperature being pushed may be different from what’s displayed in the app. This is due to 2 different data providers being used. The app will be updated to stay consistent. Please bear with me while it’s all fixed. One thing to note with this: IT CURRENTLY ONLY PUSHES THE TEMPERATURE IN DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. This will be fixed ASAP.

As for users outside the US, unfortunately, any other data provider I use doesn’t support non-US locations. For those that currently own the app, I will do everything I can to make sure you continue to get the temperature pushed. If there continues to be issues, please contact Apple for a refund.

CurrentTemp Temporarily Removed

Due to ongoing issues, CurrentTemp was pulled from the App Store. I’m working on fixing the pushing for everyone. This should be resolved by tomorrow. When the app shows up in the App Store again, it will be US only. Unfortunately, the service I’m using for getting temperatures by lat/lon thinks my service is DDoSing them, so I can’t keep using it. I apologize.

CurrentTemp Bug…Fixing

A users in Europe discovered a bug with the way the lat/lon is calculated to be passed to the data provider.  Working on a fix right now, should be submitted to the App Store for review ASAP.

Current Temperature 5.0 Released

CurrentTemp v5.0 is now released in the App Store. Changes include:

- 100% new code base.
- Works worldwide with GPS coordinates.
- Pushes Fahrenheit or Celsius.
- Pushes actual temperature, heat index, or wind chill.
- Pushes every 30 minutes.

New Apps, New Sites

We’re currently in the process of transitioning lots of bits and pieces, so we appreciate your patience.  First, this site will only hold company info and news.  A new site, FigmentApps will hold all app info.  We’re currently working on both sites, so minimal content may be available.

Second item is we have our own server now for data processing.  All new custom processes are being written for CurrentTemp and WeatherAlert.  These will make the apps significantly better than they are now.  So check for updates soon.
